Hi, I’m Abby!

Abby is a certified pediatric speech-language pathologist who holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice in Utah.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Creighton University and her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Abby has spent her career working with children and is passionate about helping them find their voice and communicate with confidence.

Abby specializes in supporting children with speech sound and articulation disorders, developmental language delays, and childhood apraxia of speech. She also has experience working with families and children in areas including augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), social communication, autism, complex genetic syndromes, and gestalt language processing.

Abby is trained in the PROMPT technique (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets), a tactile-kinesthetic approach that uses gentle touch cues to support a child’s jaw, lips, and tongue movements during speech. This approach can be especially helpful for children with motor speech disorders such as childhood apraxia of speech or other severe speech sound challenges.

Her therapy approach is play-based, individualized, and family-centered. Abby believes children learn best through play, connection, and meaningful interactions. Therapy sessions are designed to be engaging and supportive while targeting each child’s unique strengths and goals. She prioritizes collaboration with parents and caregivers so that communication skills can grow both in and outside of therapy sessions.

Abby was born and raised in Minnesota. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, cooking, crocheting, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

And I’m so glad you’re here!
